AI Content Policy

Wisdom Vortex: International Journal of Social Science and Humanities

Ethics, Transparency & Responsible AI Use

Policy Purpose

We promote ethical research. While AI can support academic writing, authors remain fully accountable for the content's accuracy, integrity, and originality. AI is a tool—not a replacement for human judgment.

✔ Acceptable Uses

  • Language Enhancement: Grammar, spelling, and formatting.
  • Structuring: Summarizing literature (with author verification).
  • Ref Management: Citation formatting (Zotero, Mendeley).
  • Data Assistance: Statistical modeling or visualization support.
  • Coding: Code generation for technical papers.

✘ Prohibited Uses

  • Original Content: AI-generated arguments or hypotheses.
  • Data Fabrication: Artificially generated results/tables.
  • Fake Citations: Hallucinated sources or fake DOIs.
  • Authorship: Listing AI tools as authors or ghostwriters.
  • Decision Making: AI-driven peer review or acceptance.

Mandatory Disclosure Requirements

All AI usage must be disclosed in the "Acknowledgement" or a separate "AI Usage Statement."

Sample Disclosure Statement:

"The authors used ChatGPT (OpenAI) to support grammar correction and paragraph structuring. The final content has been reviewed and approved by the authors, who take full responsibility for its integrity."

*Include: Tool name, version, and specific purpose (e.g., Grammarly v1.9 for proofreading).

Monitoring

We use GPTZero, Turnitin AI Detector, and manual review to evaluate AI involvement. Authors may be asked for raw data files for verification.

Consequences

Misuse leads to Desk Rejection, Retraction (if post-publication), Blacklisting, or notification to the author's institution.

This policy is updated in line with UGC Guidelines (July 2025), COPE, and ICMJE standards.
